Exactly how location data is used
Live rescuer positioning
During an active mission the app shares each consenting rescuer’s GPS position so the coordinator can direct the search and account for everyone’s safety.
Marking found persons & evidence
A rescuer marks the exact coordinates of a located person, clue, or hazard so other teams and medical units can reach it.
Search sector coverage
Tracks plot which ground has actually been searched, preventing wasted effort and dangerous gaps.
Route recording & playback
Tracks and imported GPX routes are recorded for the after-action report and for coordinating overlapping teams.
Our guarantees
- Location is collected only after the user explicitly grants permission.
- Sharing is active only while the user is on duty in an active mission — not in the background of everyday life.
- Background location, where enabled, exists solely to keep an on-duty rescuer visible to their coordinator for their own safety.
- Data is used only for the rescue operation. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties for marketing.
- Users can stop sharing and revoke permission at any time.
